Lawrence Washington has been playing tennis for over twenty years. He was a standout tennis player at Tennessee State University located in Nashville, Tennessee and also competed on the ITF Professional Circuit. In addition, Lawrence is a USPTR Tennis Professional specializing in Adult Development. Lawrence served as the Volunteer Assistant Tennis Coach at Howard University and was the former Executive Director for a non-profit tennis organization, Tennis on the Hill. He is currently the Chairman for the United States Tennis Association (USTA) - Tennis on Campus. Lawrence has been on numerous of panel discussions speaking on growing the sport of tennis and has been featured on several news outlets for his dedication of the sport.

Aside from tennis, Lawrence is heavily involved in real estate and finance. He has worked at financial firms such as the NASDAQ Stock Exchange and has written several articles on affordable housing.  Mr. Washington graduated Summa Cum Laude from Tennessee State University with a B.S. in Political Science and received his Master's Degree in Real Estate Finance from Georgetown University. Mr. Washington also holds a Leadership Certification from Cornell University and is an MBA candidate at The John's Hopkins University.  Lawrence was named Washington D.C.'s Top 30 under 30 for young professionals in 2014 and was recently named Top 40 under Forty by the Network Journal for Business Professional & Executives in the Nation.
